2024 - 2025 NCAA Football

Just saw the updated rankings...
I think Georgia at #2 ahead of OSU is an error.
OSU lost to #1 Oregon by a point and beat #6 Penn State. Georgia lost to (currently) #11 Alabama and beat #5 Texas. Also, if Florida’s QB didn’t get injured and have to leave the game it was looking like Florida would likely win the game against Georgia yesterday. And that’s not the only game they struggled. Of course they could get their act together and play better, but today I think OSU is the better team.

The way the parity is shaping up, I think the 12 team playoff might result in even more angry fans than in the past. I mean, what happens when 6 teams looking for that last spot all have the same win/loss record?

Yeah, Florida certainly would have had more of a fighting chance with Lagway. Mertz would have been even better. It's tough when you lose your top two quarterbacks. I feel sorry for Napier... he has had the worst luck.

These next few weeks will be interesting. Bama vs LSU... loser is out of the playoffs for good.

Georgia still has to play Ole Miss and Tennessee... brutal for them.

Ohio State still has Indiana and Michigan. We'll learn more about Indiana in that game than we will OSU. You never can tell about the Michigan game, but OSU should win.

I think Oregon, Miami, and Texas will win out unless Texas A&M ends up having a better day when they play the Longhorns.

Wow... the Ole Miss defense showed up today... unbelievable. I thought there would be more points scored in this game.

And what about those Yellowjackets calming the winds of the Hurricanes... amazing upset.

Good stuff! Now we need the Tide to roll at Death Valley. So far they’re looking sharp on both sides of the ball.

Did I witness the Tide playing their best ball of the year since the first half of the Georgia ball game?

It's almost like we couldn't do anything wrong. I don't think many people thought Bama would win this game.

ROLL TIDE ROLL!

Wow, losing to Georgia Tech really hurt Miami in the polls. This may have been the most significant drop by a one-loss team yet.

Indiana and BYU keep hanging in there... good to see new faces.

I watched a bit of the Indiana - Michigan game this past weekend. To be honest, I was expecting a little bit more from them. Maybe they are saving their best stuff for the game with OSU on the 23rd, but I’m thinking they become a one loss team and OSU stays that way.

If they somehow did get past OSU... will they have anything left for Oregon.

Hmmm… I have noticed that the games Oregon has played against currently ranked teams were very close. OSU by 1 and Boise State by 3. On that basis it seems possible. But in terms of how they actually match up I have no idea.
If the concern is a mental letdown after a big win, I’d say probably not against Oregon. They’ll get Perdue before Oregon. That’d be the one I’d worry about.

Perdue looks pretty miserable right now and will likely get beat down this weekend again. Ironically, their only win this year was against Indiana State. I think Indiana will roll them up, win or lose to OSU. If they lose to OSU, it will be a good bounce-back win for them, and they won't play Oregon. If they beat OSU... I think they still cruise on in the Big Ten Championship game, and maybe they give Oregon a fight.
