I just finished watching UK (basketball) win their 7th game and flipped over to Georgia - Georgia Tech a minute before the end of the 1st half. What is going on here? GT leading 17-0?

Hard to believe GT taking it to them like they did, but I felt the Dogs would come back like they did against Bama.

What happened to Oklahoma State this year? Colorado spanked them pretty bad.

I can't help but believe that Hunter will win the Heisman. He is good on both sides of the ball.

 The Wolverines take down the Buckeyes... it's what rivalries do.

The Gamecocks edge out the Tigers... another rivalry upset.

The trend is not looking good... :dumbcrazy:

I agree... outside of Oregon rolling it up with wins... this has been a crazy season, and all with the new playoff format upon us.

Another strange upset with Syracuse beating Miami. Miami was up 21-0. Syracuse ended up having a pretty good year... good win to end the regular season.

Happy to see Bama pull it out against Auburn, despite all the turnovers. Thorne was good to us and returned the favor when we needed it most down the stretch. Winning the Iron Bowl at least made the season satisfying since we missed the playoffs.

Glad I don't have a vote in ranking them... doesn't make a lot of sense to me.

I read that Gus Malzahn is going to FSU as the OC. That will be interesting.

This will change with the likelihood of shuffled rankings after the conference championship games this coming weekend.

Alabama would likely fall out if Clemson beats SMU.

It appears Georgia and Texas will play a 3rd time after the conference championship. That's assuming the loser ends up winning their first round.

I'm going to predict Oregon and Georgia in the final showdown.

Georgia - Texas. Now that was some serious drama! Congratulations to the dogs for gutting it out to earn the OT win!

Penn State played the Ducks closer than I expected, and SMU almost pulled it out against Clemson. Bama should be out... probably didn't have any business being in the playoffs anyway.

We have some good games coming up... it's gonna be fun. I love the new format.

Georgia and Texas could play each other a 3rd time, but it would only be in the National Championship game. It seems they would have bumped Notre Dame to number 5 and moved Texas and Penn State to 6 and 7, and then we wouldn't have the opportunity to see Georgia and Texas playing for all the marbles. However, I also understand that rewards ND who did not have to play a conference championship game.

As many others stated, if I'm an SEC team, I'm not scheduling any tough outside-the-conference games because, as proven today, they don't matter as much. I'd be trying to schedule as many non-top 25 teams as possible. Obviously, you have to do this blind, but traditionally, we know who the better teams will be. Stay away from any of the teams that have big money to pay players. Win all your games, then worry about whether or not you can beat the good teams in the playoffs.

I am not sure if this is a good move or a bad move, either way, good luck to new coach and team. :)

from espn,

In one of the most stunning and compelling moves in college football history, six-time Super Bowl-winning coach Bill Belichick was named the new head coach at North Carolina on Wednesday night.

North Carolina officials said the sides agreed to a five-year deal pending approval by the board of trustees, which is scheduled to hold an emergency meeting Thursday.

Belichick, 72, worked in the NFL in some capacity from 1975 until his divorce from the New England Patriots after the 2023 season. This will be his first college coaching job.

Belichick's father, Steve, served as an assistant coach for the Tar Heels from 1953 to 1955.
