I haven't given any thought about that sensitivity claim... first I've heard of it.
Denon has Audyssey and a graphic EQ... which allows me to bump up the bass a little. It's typically at one volume in all use cases. The only difference will be that the volume of the outside speakers will be a little higher than the inside speakers, but neither will be loud. Right now, we have no bass to speak of, so whatever we get will be an improvement.
