(October 15, 2026) XGIMI has spent much of its rise building a reputation around compact smart projectors that could be moved, set up quickly, and dropped into spaces where a traditional home theater projector might feel like overkill. Products such as MoGo and Halo helped establish that identity, but the company’s trajectory has become increasingly ambitious as its HORIZON family has evolved. The new HORIZON 30 Series pushes that progression even further, with three RGB triple-laser models rated at 4,800 to 6,000 ISO lumens and aimed squarely at people who want projection to work in living rooms, multipurpose media spaces, and other environments that aren’t always completely dark. No projector gets a free pass against uncontrolled sunlight, but those brightness numbers should give the HORIZON 30 models considerably more room to work during daytime viewing before transitioning into movie duty after dark.
All three models use an RGB triple laser light source, which is worth unpacking because the terminology can sound more exotic than it really is. Rather than starting with a single blue laser and using phosphor to create the other primary colors, an RGB system uses dedicated red, green, and blue laser sources. That approach can deliver a wider color gamut and plenty of light output, although the words “triple laser” alone don’t guarantee better contrast or more accurate color. Here, the HORIZON 30 Pro is rated at 4,800 ISO lumens with 8,000:1 native contrast, the HORIZON 30 Max climbs to 5,300 lumens and 9,000:1, and the Ultra Max tops the family at 6,000 lumens with 10,000:1 native contrast. All three support 4K at 120Hz, Dolby Vision, HDR10+, and IMAX Enhanced, and feature a Dual Intelligent Iris system that adjusts light output as scenes change.
What keeps these from feeling like traditional install-and-forget projectors is the form factor and setup flexibility. The HORIZON 30 chassis measures roughly 11.7" wide, 9.8" tall, and 7.5" deep and weighs about 12 pounds, so while this isn’t a battery-powered portable, it’s still relatively compact for the amount of light being thrown on screen. An integrated stand allows the projector to tilt and rotate, while optical zoom and lens shift give owners more freedom to place the image without relying heavily on digital correction. Lens Memory can store up to five setups, and XGIMI’s Intelligent Screen Adaptation handles chores such as focus, alignment, and obstacle avoidance. Google TV is built in, as are two 12-watt Harman Kardon speakers with DTS Virtual:X, making it possible to get a complete system running without immediately surrounding the projector with additional gear. Gaming support includes VRR, ALLM, and AMD FreeSync, while the 120Hz refresh rate also allows 24fps film content to be displayed evenly rather than relying on the traditional uneven cadence associated with 60Hz playback.
The HORIZON 30 Series is available for preorder now through October 31, with sales opening on November 1. Regular pricing is $2,499 for the HORIZON 30 Pro, $2,999 for the HORIZON 30 Max, and $3,499 for the HORIZON 30 Ultra Max. During the preorder window, those prices drop to $1,899, $2,499, and $2,999, respectively. XGIMI is also including a choice of an Elephant Grey floor stand or ceiling mount, two pairs of 3D glasses, and a $500 coupon toward its Ascend Screen with every preorder.
