(December 9, 2020) The master of all things low-end, Youngstown’s SVS, has announced delicious limited edition white versions of several different products, including its wildly popular SB-2000 Pro subwoofer.

The SB-2000 Pro utilizes a 12-inch woofer driven by a Sledge STA 550D Class D amp (550 watts RMS, 1,500 watts peak), backed by various top-shelf technologies found on the company’s flagship 16-Ultra subwoofer models. As Tom Lehman said in his review of the ported version of the SB-2000: “That said, the PB-2000 PRO subwoofer is one of those rare audio animals that is what SVS, and the specs, say it is. It is a high-performance subwoofer at a modest price. It goes low, it is precise, it is capable of prodigious output, and it does even more of the same in the dual configuration.”

Pricing for a Piano Gloss White SB-2000 Pro mirrors the standard Piano Gloss Black version ($899.99 for one or 1600.99 for two).

Other products offered in a limited edition Piano Gloss White include Ultra Bookshelf speakers (reviewed here), Prime Elevation speakers (reviewed here), the Prime Wireless Powered Speaker System, the SB-1000 subwoofer, Prime Satellite speakers, and the Prime Satellite 5.1 home theater system.

The most popular model SVS offers joins select speakers and subwoofers in getting a limited edition Piano White Gloss makeover for lifestyle-conscious audio fans.

Additional SVS models with the limited edition Piano Gloss White finish include: Ultra Bookshelf speakers, Prime Elevation speakers, Prime Wireless Powered Speaker System, SB-1000 subwoofer, Prime Satellite speakers, and the Prime Satellite 5.1 home theater speaker system. Information on all products can be found here.

The SB-2000 Pro subwoofer boasts a 12-inch high-excursion SVS driver and potent 550 watts RMS, 1,500+ watts peak power Sledge STA-550D amplifier with discrete MOSFET output for effortless, room-energizing bass with pinpoint control and accuracy. Loaded with advanced technology from the flagship 16-Ultra models and features only available from SVS, 2000 Pro Series subwoofers redefine subwoofer performance for music and home theater fans at their price range and beyond.

Powering the SB-2000 Pro is a commanding and sophisticated Sledge STA-550D amplifier that combines the high current output of discrete MOSFETs with Class D efficiency. Boasting an impressive 550 watts RMS and 1,500+ watts peak power and vanishingly low distortion, the unique design unleashes nearly limitless on-demand power while maintaining precise driver control, so the SB-2000 Pro can play effortlessly at reference levels and still achieve accurate frequency response.

Harnessing the massive power of the Sledge amplifier is a 50 MHz Analog Devices Audio DSP with 56-bit filtering, the most sophisticated DSP engine ever used in a home subwoofer. The abundant processing power maintains pristine sound quality that is true to the source material through advanced in-room tuning, optimized frequency response curves, powerful DSP controls and more.

Drivers in the SVS SB-2000 Pro subwoofer are built for serious output as well as finesse and accuracy. The proprietary SVS design features a dual ferrite magnet motor assembly with long-throw parabolic surround for extreme excursion with room-pressurizing SPLs. A lightweight and rigid aluminum vented cone with composite fiber dustcap moves immense amounts of air to create tactile sonic energy without losing control. The result is accurate response, even at the most intense listening levels.

Launched originally with the flagship SVS 16-Ultra subwoofers, the SB-2000 Pro also features convenient control and custom presets via the SVS subwoofer DSP smartphone app for Apple, Android and Amazon devices. The SVS app is the most convenient way to control volume, access multiple DSP functions and program custom presets for one-touch tuning optimized for music, movies, gaming, and more. Uses can also adjust crossover frequencies, a three-band parametric EQ, polarity, room gain and more, all from their favorite seat.

The SVS subwoofer app also allows advanced customization so you can name your subwoofer for easy preset switching, choose the subwoofer standby mode and reset the subwoofer to factory settings. Bluetooth connectivity allows full control, even when the subwoofer is out of sight and bi-directional feedback shows adjustments in real time on both the app and rear panel subwoofer interface.

The SB-2000 Pro subwoofer in Piano Gloss White is available now, pricing is below.

SB-2000 Pro: Premium Black Ash - $799.99, Piano Gloss Black & Piano Gloss White - $899.99

The white looks pretty sweet! Winder why they didn't add the Ultra Center and Surrounds in white as well to have an Ultra Series in all white.

The initial decision came down to expected sales numbers, however, SVS says sales have been exceptionally good and that an Ultra run could potentially materialize.
