(June 3, 2026) WiiM has spent the last few years methodically expanding its ecosystem, moving from affordable streaming devices into integrated amplifiers, streamers, and multiroom audio products. Now the company is setting its sights on one of the most competitive categories in consumer audio: soundbars. Debuting at High End Vienna 2026, the new WiiM Bar marks the company's first entry into home theater audio. And rather than treating it as a simple TV speaker upgrade, WiiM is positioning it as a flexible platform that can evolve from a standalone soundbar into a complete surround sound system.

Out of the box, the WiiM Bar delivers a 3.0.2-channel Dolby Atmos configuration powered by an eight-driver array with dedicated up-firing height channels. Four passive radiators are also onboard, helping reinforce low-frequency performance without requiring an immediate subwoofer purchase. Support extends beyond Dolby Atmos and associated formats to include DTS, DTS:X, LPCM, and AC3, making it compatible with a broad range of content sources.

One of the more interesting features is capable expandability. Unlike many soundbars that lock buyers into a fixed configuration, the WiiM Bar can wirelessly grow into a full 5.1.2-channel system by pairing with compatible WiiM surround speakers and subwoofers. For users already invested in the WiiM ecosystem, this kind of product association makes upgrading to a proper home theater experience significantly easier and potentially more affordable.

"The WiiM Bar is a natural next step for our ecosystem, bringing the same simplicity and high-fidelity performance our community loves into the living room," said Dr. Lifeng Zhao, CEO of WiiM. "With true Dolby Atmos sound, an intuitive touch display, and the ability to expand from a standalone soundbar into a full surround setup, it's designed to grow with the way our users enjoy music, movies, and gaming."

Centered on the soundbar is a glass-covered 2.1" circular touchscreen capable of displaying album artwork, playback controls, source selection, EQ settings, Smart Presets, and personalization options. It's an unusual feature in a category where most manufacturers rely almost exclusively on smartphone apps or small LED indicators.

WiiM is also bringing over technologies familiar to owners of its streaming products. RoomFit automatic room correction analyzes the listening environment and adjusts playback accordingly, while the company's broader software ecosystem enables access to more than twenty streaming services. Spotify Connect, TIDAL Connect, Qobuz Connect, Google Cast, Roon, and other casting options are all supported.

For late-night viewing sessions, the WiiM Bar includes AI-powered dialogue enhancement and a Night Mode that reduces the impact of loud effects while preserving speech clarity. HDMI eARC connectivity handles TV integration, while control can be managed through the WiiM Home App, voice commands, the onboard display, or the included remote control.

The all-new WiiM Bar is now available for pre-sale at wiimhome.com and will be available for purchase in July 2026 for $479 USD through wiimhome.com, Amazon, and select retail partners worldwide.
