I have a friend who is looking for a wireless setup for their small room. My initial idea was to get 5 powered wireless speakers for them. I figured the Kanto as a first choice, and the Edifier speakers as a 2nd choice. I told them about the Kanto 6 wifi powered speakers, but then saw a problem...how do you run multiple channels for a 5 .1 setup? I know they can run a stereo pair off of their tv, but how can you run 5 channels? My friend wants to spend less than $400 a pair on powered speakers...he is in his 70s, and is not a person who will be cranking it up.

I have found some HDMI spitters thatalsodoDolby digital, but I am not sure how reliable they are. They were around $100. I just pieced together a wired setup for about $850 with Klipsch speakers, and sub, plus a Yamaha AVR..Waiting to see if that will work as a wireless setup would cost almost that for 4 speakers alone...although the speakers would be better than what you get with 5 klipsch speakers, and a sub too...obviously.
