Marcus Hutchins, the British malware researcher who killed off the WannaCry ransomware outbreak, was arrested in Las Vegas on Wednesday by the FBI after attending a "hackers" convention. It is alleged he created the Kronos virus.

Strangely, he asked for anyone to send him the code for Kronos AFTER it was released!


Of course he will be presumed guilty until proven innocent.

I suspect they must have something on him.. I doubt they would have arrested him without any evidence..
I am also wondering if he did all of this, assuming, he did it, for the publicity?
