Everyone's gotta have a top 5!

Right now... I'm going with:

Pink Floyd: Dark Side Of Moon (SACD)
The War on Drugs: Lost in the Dream
A Tribe Called Quest: Midnight Marauders
Tom Petty: Full Moon Fever
Miracle Legion: Drenched

Hmm, this is just the rock edition right? I think, in no particular order, I'd go with:
Boston: Boston
Pink Floyd: The Wall
REO Speedwagon: R.E.O./T.W.O.
AC/DC: Back in Black
Kiss: Kiss

Honorable mention;
Lynyrd Skynyrd: (Pronounced 'Lĕh-'nérd 'Skin-'nérd)

Pretty obvious the era I grew up in...

Like those, Mark! Like em! Great era of music... and Boston... CLASSIC!

Oh boy! That's a tough one...

Chicago: 17
Toto: past to present
Queen: The Platinum collection
Cool and the gang: the best of
Lee Ritenour: six string theory

There are way more but those ones come to mind right away

Just 5 is hard. Feel like it leaves a lot out. These 5 I think I could listen to for a lifetime. Oh wait, I already have....

Pink Floyd: Dark Side of the Moon
Yes: The Yes Album
Eagles: Their Greatest Hits 1971-1975
The Who: Who's Next
Aerosmith: Toys in the Attic

Let me throw a kink in the mix... while I believe DSOTM is a fantastic album and no doubt a classic... it is just not the best Pink Floyd for me...

Yello - Touch (could not live without it)
Cassandra Wilson - Dance to the Drums Again (or I'd take New Moon Daughter)
Dire Straits - Brothers in Arms
The Black Keys - Turn Blue
Pink Floyd - Momentary Lapse of Reason (Remastered)

Nice choices, Sonnie. Agree on Yello. That is serious reference material right there!

Surprised no one has mentioned Dead Can Dance...

Great call on the Eagles!

I have Dead Can Dance... but just can't quite get it in my top 5... maybe top 15-20.

It would take me too long to narrow it down to 5. By the time I got that done, I would have discovered something else new and it would have changed already.

You can do it, Wayne!

That's no excuse Wayne... think of 5 you really really like and would go to right now for a review.

Hmmmm...tough one.

In no particular order:
Wilco - Kicking Television (Live)
Electric Light Orchestra - Out of the Blue
Steely Dan - Pretzel Logic
KISS - Alive
Eagles - Live

And a current obsession that could make it on this list someday but it's too early to tell:
Royal Blood - How Did We Get So Dark

I've never listened to that Wilco album... do like them tho... Summerteeth is a great one!

Got a good feeling something from the B52s makes it to your top 5. (I enjoy reading your reviews!)

Steely Dan - Pretzel Logic

Two thumbs up for Steely Dan.

My 11yo's name is Wilco. Middle name Lennon.

Kicking Television is a great sounding, great live album. I have the 4LP box version as well. It was shortly after they solidified the current lineup, and those songs that I'd been listening to for a decade+ really just came to life.

Jeff has said it was a turning point, that he really felt he had the perfect group of musicians to work with for once.

Great names!!!!

I'll have to dig up a copy of Kicking Televisions... doesn't appear to be on TIDAL.
