This is the screen pop I get after measurement:
"The highest level in the input is just 24db SPL (-93 dBFS)
This is much lower than it should be. Check the input channel selection, connections, input volume and output volume/mute.
The highest level should ideally be above 57dB SPL (-60dBFS)"
This is my first go round with REW.
Please help

What channel have you selected for REW to use as the input in the Soundcard preferences? Is it the channel your input is connected to?

Input device is Microphone UMM6
Below that
Input: Microphone (Master Volume)
Channel is: L

Please post a screenshot of your REW soundcard preferences. If you open the REW SPL meter is there any change when you speak into the mic?

Soundcard calibration is not applicable when using a USB mic. If you open the REW SPL meter is there any change when you speak into the mic?

I will ck in the am.
Thanks

I had the same issue. I increased the dbs on the input in the miniDSP program. Not sure if that is correct but it started allowing me to take readings.

I do not have a mini dsp yet. Just looking for the readings. From what I read you cannot dsp / eq a null. Just looking for whats going on with my room and possible sub woofer placements.

Nothing.

I hsve heard great things about your application. Am I beyond helping?

I don't see why you should be, just trying to establish whether the mic works OK in another application. Can also try any other audio inputs available to REW (if there are any) to see if they work.

. Got it. I will share what I get when I take a measurement .

I will check. Ty

I plugged the usb from the microphone in the usb port with metal around it in my laptop and it works. Do you have a tutorial on how to proceed or should I just go you tube. I was told home theatre gurus has some good videos.

I did the upgrade. And now the input signal from the mic is too low. Is there a way I can talk to someone to walk me through this?

Make sure the mic is plugged in before you start REW and unplug it after you close REW. Check the input volume setting is sensible and the mic is still selected as the input device. Make sure the connector is firmly inserted in the mic.

John,
I used a different lap top, a mac. Didn't have any issues. I thank you for tolerating me. Lol. Great software and I have only scratched the surface. Now that the subs are in good shape. Do i rerun audessey or lesve it the way it was before I used your software?
Thank you,
Mike
