(October 24, 2022) Mitchell Acoustics says it's eyeing the US market with one mission in mind: bring back stereo listening for everyone without crushing the wallet.

Offering both wireless Bluetooth speakers and turntables, Mitchell Acoustics’ audio products have been developed for casual and serious music fans as well as movie aficionados. Its audio devices provide a cable-free, Wi-Fi-free, and network-free solution, harnessing the audio quality possible over Bluetooth, with the simplicity and convenience of the platform. The company says its speakers play deep enough to eliminate the need for subwoofers, and carry price points that money-conscious buyers are sure to appreciate.

“Many consumers who stream music use the standalone mono speakers that are popular today,” says the company's co-founder, Paul Mitchell. “They are primarily used out of convenience, but there is no way they can produce true, high-quality stereo sound. “Our uStream series retains the convenience of these standalone devices but produces beautiful stereo sound, reminiscent of what hi-fi was like years ago. They can exploit all streaming options and deliver sound much closer to what the artists and producers intended.”

At launch, Mitchell Acoustics will offer its 100-watt uStream One speakers, the 160-watt uStream Two speakers, a new, “go anywhere” stereo speaker set called uStream Go, and the wireless TT2 Bluetooth turntable.

The uStream One speaker ($499) stands as the brand's marquee product. Once turned on, these independently powered speakers connect in seconds, creating a stereo Left and Right pair. Connection to a TV brings a stereo dimension to the audio, and paired with any streaming music source (smartphone, tablet, laptop, even a voice assistant), the speakers produce a full stereo soundfield. uStream Go ($449) offers similar functionality but in a much smaller on-the-go size. A built-in lithium-ion battery gives the Go over 30 hours of continuous play, while an all-metal cabinet construction makes for a solid, luxurious feel that also enhances the bass response.

Perfect as a wireless hi-fi stereo system or as an alternative to a TV soundbar, the uStream Two ($999) is similar to the uStream One but generates a whopping 160-watts of sound power.

Complementing Mitchell Acoustics' trio of uStream speakers is the TT2 turntable ($349), which the company says was developed in response to the resurgent popularity vinyl records.

The uStream One is currently available online at Amazon and will soon be at a number of independent electronics retailers. In October, uStream Go will debut at selected locations of InMotion, the largest airport-based electronics retailer in the U.S., followed by independent retailers and online. By the end November, the TT2 will be found online and in independent retailers, while the uStream Two will arrive in January 2023.
