typo in V5.20.6 release notes?

From the V5.20.6 release notes:

• Recent UMIK-1 (which have a USB-C connector) have a different volume curve, so the SPL figure shown for them was only correct at the 0 dB gain setting (54% volume on Win10). When an ASIO wrapper is used the volume control is bypassed for these mics, so the input volume correction should no longer be applied. REW now checks the mic serial number to determine the correction to apply.

When I look at the Win 10 volume control for my recent UMIK-1, 0 dB is 52%, not 54%?

52 % is -0.4 dB on my Win10 machine, 54 % is +0.1 dB.

That's curious. What would account for the difference?

I connected my UMIK-1 to a different Win 10 PC, and got 52% for 0 dB there as well.

The sounds like one of the older UMIK-1 with the USB mini B connector. The newer ones have a USB Type-C connector, serial numbers from 706-9588 have the new volume curve (per miniDSP).

It's a newer one, Type-C, SN 707-9664.
