A good response should give you better imaging... but speaker placement will be another factor to consider.

I should re word that.would you choose to sit in the pocket for the best imaging for out of the pocket for the best response-measurments?

Typically with speakers away from walls and the Listener at half height and wit........;-) there are big holes in LF response.
I would priorities minimising that problem. We have a huge tolerance for variations in imaging, e.g. headphone listening is very extreme.
