Thoughts on Sony's BRAVIA Core Service

Hey everyone, just wondering your thoughts on this service if you have a capable Sony product. I purchased A Sony A80K, 77 Old about 15 months ago or so. With the purchase of the TV they gave 5 free downloads for movies and 1 year of their streaming service. I find at least on my set up it rivals Apple TV for Quality. Keep in mind the titles are limited to Sony releases. That said I don't think that's a bad thing as I find most Sony release movies on physical media are almost reference level quality.

Anyone else have thoughts on this service?

I’ve never played around with the service. Is it streaming only? Or does it allow you to purchase and download?

I got the same offer when I got my A80J. I took advantage of their 5 free movies but I would not buy from the Sony Bravia Core because the movies on there end up on other streaming services like Netflix for example.

You can do both however, their good selection is the purchase ones.

Agreed, the best ones are those for purchase. For streaming I would say the quality is pretty solid, I have yet to purchase any yet at least while I can still get physical 4K. I guess from a digital rights perspective its fairly safe as they are Sony owned movies. Its an option for me while I keep adding to my penny jar for Kaleidescape system lol.
