(May 11, 2026) The Home Acoustics Alliance has announced HAA Link, a new calibration platform designed to help professional integrators streamline the process of tuning high-performance home theater systems. Developed as a standards-based calibration solution, the platform combines system measurement tools and processor controls within a unified environment intended to simplify setup and optimization workflows. The HAA says the platform is designed to support calibration practices aligned with CEDIA RP22 and RP32 recommendations.

HAA Link works alongside the companion HAA CinemaTools with HAA Link iPad app, allowing calibrators to evaluate system performance while making real-time adjustments to key settings without relying entirely on traditional onscreen processor menus. According to the HAA, this approach reduces repeated measurement cycles while improving overall calibration efficiency. Real-time sound analysis is also integrated directly alongside calibration controls, allowing installers to monitor system behavior during the tuning process.

The software includes a range of tools aimed at advanced system optimization, including speaker leveling, phase alignment controls, and support for up to 14 parametric EQ filters per channel. An onboard suite of test tones for every channel and global EQ controls are also included to assist with speaker integration and overall system balance. Multiple listening presets can be created for different use cases, such as movies, music listening, or low-volume nighttime viewing. The HAA says the preset system also allows end users to experiment with settings while quickly restoring professionally calibrated modes when needed.

A key focus of the platform is making professional acoustic calibration services more approachable for a wider range of integrators. According to the HAA, the software is intended to simplify complex calibration procedures while still maintaining high-performance results and standards-based tuning practices.

The first product to support HAA Link is AudioControl’s Hyperion Series AV processor, where the platform will be offered as a professional feature upgrade. According to the HAA, the integration unlocks advanced calibration tools and capabilities typically reserved for the most expensive components. The HAA says additional AV receiver and processor manufacturers will also be able to license the technology moving forward.

Hmmm... curious if this will be a viable replacement for Dirac Live or something that will be an additional tool to help view and tweak the results of Dirac Live.
