The TN-400BT X/TB remains grounded in classic turntable engineering. A die-cast aluminum platter, low-friction spindle, and brass bearing are designed to promote stable rotation across all three supported speeds, 33⅓, 45, and 78 rpm. TEAC’s S-shaped static-balanced tonearm includes an adjustable counterweight and anti-skating tech, along with a universal headshell and gold-plated contacts, keeping setup and cartridge swaps straightforward.
Wireless playback is handled via Bluetooth 5.2, with support for Qualcomm aptX Adaptive, aptX, and SBC codecs. This allows records to be played through compatible headphones or speakers with reduced latency and improved sound quality compared to standard Bluetooth implementations. Pairing is done with a single button and LED indicator, making the process simple for everyday use.
For wired systems, the turntable includes a built-in phono EQ amplifier using the NJM8080 op-amp. This allows direct connection to line-level inputs on amplifiers, powered speakers, or AV receivers that lack a dedicated phono stage, while a switchable output keeps the option open for systems with an external phono preamp. A pre-installed Audio-Technica AT95E moving-magnet cartridge means the TN-400BT X/TB is ready to play out of the box.
The limited-edition Turquoise Blue cabinet is constructed from high-density MDF for added rigidity and vibration control. Machined aluminum knobs and feet, gold-plated RCA jacks, and decoupled feet round out the build, reinforcing TEAC’s focus on practical performance rather than purely cosmetic changes.
The TEAC TN-400BT X/TB Limited Edition Turquoise Blue turntable is slated for availability in Spring 2026 through specialty retailers and TEACUSA.com. Pricing is set at $629.99 USD, with quantities limited.
