Why is it that manually switching the Y-axis to Ohm does not work, but instead it falls back to SPL? Is this inteded since REW expects impedance data with a special file extension?

When loading measurement data made on other systems like clio (or literally any other software) these are saved as txt or csv, REW treats them as dBfs per default and applies whatever input calibraton you have set so the values shown are wrong. Manually switching to an uncalibrated unit like dBSPL shows correct numeric values but still the wrong unit and manually switching to Ohm does not work.

It would be really helpful to 1) allowing to switch to Ohm (without any calibration) and 2) automatically use the correct unit if it is present in the imported files csv headers (if the headers are "Freq [Hz] Ohm Phase [Deg] " (or whatever delimiter used) for example for using the Ohm unit on the Y-axis.

Having to manually modify the file extension on a txt file just so REW treats it as impedance seems unnecessarily complex to me. Especially if you intend to use the dataset in multiple softwares.

Which REW version are you running? Since beta 103 of V5.40 (October) REW automatically recognises impedance text files on import if they were exported from DATS (or from REW itself). If your files are from another source please attach an example.
