SVS Shrinks Its Legendary Performance Into a 10-Inch Cabinet, Meet the New 3000 Micro

(March 19, 2021) If you love bass but are short on space, SVS has a brand-new sub explicitly designed for you. The 3000 Micro Subwoofer features a diminutive 10” cabinet that’s locked-and-loaded with dual-opposed 8” drivers for performance down to 23Hz (+/- 3dB).

The 3000 Micro sub carries an efficient STA-800D2 Sledge amplifier capable of 800 watts RMS (2,5000 watts peak) for potent on-demand current. It feeds the driver array in parallel for perfectly timed juice and unified playback, resulting in mechanical energy that’s canceled and a cabinet that remains inert. SVS touts the design’s ability to produce accurate and distortion-free bass from a driver/cabinet system that won’t move or “dance” across the floor during playback.

“For too long, micro subwoofers have been imposters in the category with disappointing output, compromised sound quality, flawed engineering, and other performance issues,” said Gary Yacoubian, SVS President. “In the world of subwoofers, the 3000 Micro is like a magic trick. Its massive output, impressive extension, and pinpoint accuracy from such a small enclosure is unprecedented and further cements SVS’ legacy of setting the performance bar with every new product.”

Much like other SVS subs, the 3000 Micro taps the intelligence of a 50 MHz Analog Devices Audio DSP with 56-bit filtering. It also benefits from app control (Apple, Android, Amazon), allowing for custom presets and volume control, with access to crossover, room gain, parametric EQ settings, and more.

SVS says the 3000 Micro’s cabinet (10.9” H x 11.7” W x 10.7” D) employs rigid internal tracking and thick MDF side baffles. External finishes include both Piano Gloss Black and Piano Gloss White.

The 3000 Micro Subwoofer is priced at $799.99 and is available for purchase now. Click here to learn more or to place an order.

Saw that today when I went in to order an SB16-Ultra. Very cool little subs, tempted to get 4 of those.

Get 4 SB16 Ultras!

SVS is our favorite sub woofer choice and every SVS sub woofer model is best in class.

It's a 10.5 x 9.5 room, lol. Four SB-16s in that size of room and I'd have to listen from the hallway, lol.

I have one SB12-NSD in there and a second one brand new in the box that was going to join it. Then I thought, "I'll get a pair of the new SB-1000 PROs with the 3-band PEQ!"... then got to looking, thought about dual SB-3000s, then just decided to get one beastly sub as the listening position seats one person.

I still haven't ordered, as duals are an attractive option. I think once the SB16-Ultra is in place, I'll likely forget all about that.

Instead of making smaller cubes, sub manufacturers should make short depth subs with large drivers.

He wants to be like me... can't stand it. :sarcastic:

These remind me of the little Sunfire subs of the old days... although I am certain these are far superior to those distortion makers.

Looks like the KF92 SUBWOOFER Twin 9-inch driver 'force-cancelling'
