Struggling to calibrate SSL2+ Sound card

Hey guys, I am trying to follow this tutorial

to calibrate my sound card and then run some test sweeps of my room, however I can't get past the calibration stage as the level is too low despite the gain on my interface being maxed out. Any ideas how to resolve this issue?

Is this the bit you mean? I can't seem to adjust any of the volumes?

Yes, that's the bit. Some interfaces don't offer controls to the OS, so the only ones to adjust are those on the interface. From the SSL2+ spec the monitor outputs can deliver +12.5 dBu at max output and the max line input is +24 dBu, max instrument input is +15 dBu so it shouldn't be a problem to get closer than -49 dBFS. How have you connected output to input?

What is the Monitor Level set to?

Try pressing the Line button.

Make sure the Monitor mix knob is turned all the way to 'USB'.
