I just recently found out that 'Stereo Review' back-issues have been posted onto the American Radio History website:
https://www.americanradiohistory.com/HiFI-Stereo-Review.htm

Every issue (some are missing) from 1958 to 1999 are available to read free of charge, which is cool!
I can't wait to read some vintage HiFi reviews over this Memorial Day weekend : )

It'll be interesting to see if any views/tastes have changed in our hobby since the 50s.

Thanks. Wow, that is really cool. I will check it out.

That is amazing Sonnie. Really cool looking wood rack. You still have it?

That was in our old house we sold back in 1999.

I believe the new owners eventually tore it out, as they were not audio geeks like us.

It was fun having Stereo Review come out though... and I have not long ago spoken with Ron Sabin... forget who he is working for now, but he remembered the system. He said how can you forget a subwoofer under a house in south Alabama... as if to imply... where else would you find hillbilly rednecks who put a subwoofer underneath their house. lol

I concur! Didn’t know you had it in you, Sonnie. Tsk, tsk, and for shame keeping your audio fetish under such tight wraps.

Incidentally, I’ve amassed quite a hard copy collection of Stereophile, The Absolute Sound, Audio, High Fidelity, and Blues Revue magazines. Might be having a moving sale soon, so keep your eyes on the classified section if you’re interested.

Too bad the new owners got rid of that cabinet. Such a beauty. :)

That room was full of cabinets with the same finish... dark walnut stained oak. The trim and moulding in the house was stained too. They all eventually got painted white.

I have a stack of Stereo Review magazines from the 90's... Stereophile... Home Theater Magazine... The Absolute Sound, etc. They are in our basement in a box... with a bunch of baseball cards from way back when... 70's and 80's. Even have a Cal Ripken Jr rookie card.

Nice collection. At least you were able to enjoy while you had the system in that house and you have the magazine for memories. :)
