Speaker playback

I am trying to run my first measurements. I have a Classe Delta Preamp for sound output and a Umic-1 for the input. I am using a Mac mini for the processing/ controls using USB for output. When I run a test signal the sound comes out of both speakers even though I have it set to output from the L speaker. If I try and change the output to the R speaker no sound comes out. The same thing happened when I tried using a laptop running Windows. Any Ideas?

Sounds like either a wiring problem or the interface format is set to mono. How is everything connected?
