so I've got a USB stick plugged into my samsung BluRay player and some (not all) .mkv files audio plays strangely as it's just a bunch of clicks. The video plays fine. If I play them on my PC they work fine.
The files are DTS HD demo tracks and many other files on the stick play fine.

Thoughts?

Does the MKV file have other audio formats? For example, when I rip my movies, I usually include the DTS or DD file because my parents HT doesn't support DTS-MA, DTS-X or Atmos, and they don't care about upgrading. So, Plex automatically switches to the DTS or DD audio track.

I know when I play some Atmos, Dolby TrueHD with my PC, the audio skips or stops, but I don't have that issue with DTS-MA, but as soon as I switch to DD it plays fine.

I don't believe there are any other audio formats on the files. I'm going to attempt to change the video format to another one and see if it works

Does your Samsung player support DTS-MA via usb? That might be the reason why it doesn’t play correctly.

Maybe the USB stick is lacking. Just a thought....

That's a possibility, (it's a Panasonic) I know the bitrate speed of USB2.0 is not fast enough. The stick is 3.0 but the players USB port is not

That may be the culprit. I've got a small HTPC NUC i5 connected to my HT. I used it to listen to music via Spotify / Amazon Music and watch movies via Plex.
