Smart Lock Video Showdown: Level Bolt vs. Eufy Smart Lock Touch & WiFi

Manufacturer & Model
Level Bolt vs Eufy Smart Lock Touch & WiFi
MSRP
$199 vs $249
Highlights
Both locks have a very solid build quality and both were easy to install - if you can use a screwdriver, you can probably install either of these in well under an hour.
Summary
The biggest difference, besides the appearance and form factor, is bluetooth vs. wifi. Big performance difference based on the connectivity options. The Eufy offers more physical features, and the Level offers more geofencing and app-based features. Watch the video and decide which is best for your situation.

A few years ago, I entered the world of smart home devices - the internet of things. It began before a work trip, I purchased some smart bulbs to make it look like someone might be home while I wasn't actually there. And from there, it's grown. A recent cross country move and new home purchase has me digging even deeper. Without a garage, a smart lock was high on the priority list. Keys are so 2013.

As an Apple-based home, out of the gate we were looking for a solution that would integrate into HomeKit and Siri. What we found is that, for this particular product category, HomeKit integration is not quite ideal, and the non-HomeKit compatible products seem to offer a feature set that negates the need for HomeKit integration. There are a couple products that would fall between the two compared, but I wasn't a fan of the appearance of them, and they received mixed reviews, so these are the two I tested - the top of their respective categories: the Level Bolt and the Eufy Smart Lock Touch & Wifi.

With distinctly different appearances and feature sets, there were two clear winners, depending on your priority. Watch the video below to find out which was my winner, and which could be yours.

Funny that you did this right when I've been thinking about smart locks. You tracking me bro?? lol

Excellent review! It's making me wish I would have bought the refurbished Eufy off of Woot the other day. I don't think it was exactly the same but it was over 43% off on the MSRP. I'll keep my eye open for them now.

Just make sure you get the current model that has WiFi built-in. The models that don’t specify WiFi require a Eufy hub. I can’t speak to the quality of that.

Picked up a Eufy on Prime Day.

Just had to recharge our battery this week, so about 6 months with regular use. It gave verbal warning, so we were able to charge before it was completely drained.
