Hello there! I have been learning and I've learned a lot in this forum. I already know the basics of REW and I have an UMIK.

I want to show a friend how a speaker that is better than the one that he has sounds. I mean, I want to gift him something that sounds better than the computer speakers that he has.

But the issue is that these speakers seem to need a big (relative, I know) enclosure and the ideal place for him is his computer desk.

Can I use this speaker? If no, which one? What small enclosure type should I use?

My best wishes for all of you.

Thanks a lot. This site is great.

About the Open Baffle I could match with a sub-woofer but there's no space for a big table. I've read that you need big area for them to sound good, not sure about the H-shaped ones

Now, I found abut a similar 2.5" drivers and can pair it with two 2.5" passive radiators. I could make a small enclosure with those and experiment.

This will be used at low volume mostly... I guess I can do without a tweeter.

Any pointers will be appreciated.

Hello there. I ended up building the speaker. Internal dimensions are (cm) 13W * 23H * 10D. They sound ragged, as if they were broken unless I cut treble. Putting at most 8W to them.

So, learning what a BSC is :-) Thoughts? Same experience?
