If by that you mean alter the frequency responses so they look alike, generally not since the response you see is not solely the direct sound from the speaker. If you are referring to adjusting the levels to get a centred image, i.e. balance control, that is less of an issue but if you are centred between the speakers but the image is offset it may be due to differences in the reflections from surfaces close to the speakers which may be better dealt with by treatment to reduce the reflections.
