RME ADI-2 Pro with UMIK1 USB mic not working in any REW

RME Adi-2 Pro
Please how can I set up preferences in REW 5.19 beta on WIN 8.1 and Java 8, when I use RME ADI-2 Pro and UMIK1 USB MIC?

EMU 404USB or Audio-GD DAC19 works well wit UMIK in REW.

It shouldn't need anything special. If you use the Generate debug file option on REW's soundcard preferences with the ADI-2 connected and attach the file here I can see what choices are available.

I have the same issue. As a general question, if I select audio device I am supposed to use bot AD for input and DA for output so supposedly I need to connect a mic (with preamp) to the AD input of the RME right? So I understand that I cannot use ASIO if a UMIK is used because the ASIO control panel in REW force me to choose ASIO as input device - UMIK is a non ASIO device)
So next question is how do I configure REW for working with UNIK (input) and ADI2PRO (output)?
What is input(outout) 1,2 (OK, this is an RME specific but maybe you can help)

Use the Java drivers and select Analog (1+2) (RME ADI-2 Pro) as the output device, LINE_OUT as the output and Microfono (Umik-1 Gain: 18dB ) as the input device, MICROPHONE as the input. You'll need to select the USB input on the RME, of course.

It make a lot of sense but still this does not work :(
What about the sampling frequency? I put the same as JRiver ionternal (as specified in the ASIO drivers)
I selected Analog(1+2) in JRiver as output device and it did play (I normaly use the ASIO MAdiface)
I stopped JRiver as a possible troublemaker but this did not help ....

OK, if I push 'next' after 'check level' I can hear the tones ... I was figuring out 'check level would have been sufficient for checking levels :)
p.s. maybe this is an area of improvement for the GUI

Tried to use ASIO as output today and I still see it is not possible to use that in combination with an USB mike like the the MiniDSP. Selecting Java instead works, but why not support different sound cards for in- and outputs? I am using version 5.20 Beta 38.

Because ASIO doesn't allow that, it only allows inputs and outputs from the same device. ASIO wrappers like ASIO4All and FlexASIO will create pseudo-ASIO devices combining multiple physical devices but there is a risk of underrun/overrun if the devices have clocks that differ too much. Usually works fine though.
