I carried out measurements of reverberation time in several meeting rooms of between 50-120 cu. m the other day, and did so with both REW and a Class 1 sound level meter, and NTi XL2, with interrupted pink noise. The former method used only three mic positions and one source position, due to time constraints. The latter used at least six receiver positions for each of two source positions.
Just thought I would post the results here for anyone who's interested.
It's interesting to me that the biggest disparities are in the 63 and 125 Hz bands, as this is where distortion effects are more likely with pink noise excitation.
