REW + UM-ONE mk2 + Behringer FBQ2496, no go

Hopefully right place to ask for help. I have 2 FBQ2496's and a 1120P in my system that work great as PEQ's. I recently bought a Roland UM-ONE mk2 in hopes of using REW (and Windows 10) to adjust the Behringers but no luck at all. I have tried each unit by itself with the UM-ONE, let Windows 10 select the correct driver to use, uninstalled driver, downloaded & installed driver directly from Roland. Made sure MIDI in/out connections were correctly attached. Went to REW ---> Preferences ---> Comms, (and Equalizer Tab) Enable MIDI checked and UM-ONE checked, but still not getting any sort of option to assign a MIDI in/out port. I followed REW's guide to configuring/communicating with the Behringers. I tried the four USB ports on my laptop and still nothing. Windows is saying the Roland driver is working correctly and recognizing when it is connected or not. Should I return the Roland unit and try a different product (REW mentions Edirol UM-1X USB-Midi interface or the M-Audio UNO but also the Roland unit I bought)? Decades ago while using an old clunky desktop/CRT Windows XP and a RS232 to MIDI adapter I had had no issues with the same Behringers. Now, I am at a loss after several days of hours of reading and adjustments, nothing. I asked this same question elsewhere several days ago but no reply. Any info would be appreciated. Thx

I don't have a Midi interface these days, but on my Win11 PC enabling Midi shows the midi port of one of the DACs I have connected as an option so seems like it should be possible.

In REW ---> Preferences ---> Comms, 'Enable MIDI' checked and 'UM-ONE' checked, isn't there supposed to be a 'MIDI Output Port' dropdown menu on the Comms tab? If so, it's not there.
Two quotes re Windows 10 'Windows 10 enables MIDI devices automatically using built-in class drivers when you plug them in' & 'Windows 10 does not have a central global MIDI control panel (like Mac's Audio MIDI Setup). You must enable and select your MIDI input/output inside your Digital Audio Workstation (DAW)'. As in my OP, Windows recognizes the USB-Midi adapter as does REW but still no option to assign a Midi port.

No, each port found is listed individually.
