Hi all,

I'm looking to either buy or build some skyline diffusers for my room, especially the front wall. However, before I spend the money or the time, I need to know what specifically needs help.

I've used impulse graphs extensively, just looking at the range from .03ms to .14ms and seeking to push them below -20db. That's been the most useful thing to do.

However, I'm sure there is more to REW — I read briefly about the ETC option for impulse and that helped.

QUESTION: In sum, then, what are the most useful tools built into REW are there for figuring out the design of a skyline or other diffusor?

Sorry if my question is fumbling or vague. I'm doing my best! Reading a book called "Acoustic Absorbers and Diffusers
Theory, design and application" by Trevor J. Cox University of Salford, UK and Peter D’Antonio RPG Diffusor Systems Inc., USA

I believe the Spectrogram would be a good place to start. It’ll help with spotting the frequency ranges needing reverb treatment, as well as confirming any improvements.

Thanks. I'm not clear, yet, how to read the spectrogram very well, so I'm searching around. But this is very helpful!
