REW and java 16.0.1

Hi,
I am consideríng to install REW on my PC, which runs Windows 7 64Bit Home Premium.
It has java 7 update 5 (64bit) and java 16.0.1 (64bit) 2021-04-20 installed.
Would REW run under java 16 ?

REW uses Java 8. If there isn't a suitable runtime available during installation the installer will offer to download a runtime for REW's private use.
