Revel Set to Launch Its New Performa4 Series at AXPONA 2026

(April 7, 2026) Revel is stepping into AXPONA 2026 with what it’s calling its most ambitious loudspeaker series to date. The new Performa4 Series represents a full reset of one of the brand’s most recognizable product lines, building on nearly 30 years of research, measurement, and listening that have defined Revel’s approach to development. According to Harman's Senior Director of Product Strategy and Planning, Jim Garrett, this launch is the culmination of thousands of hours of listening tests, psychoacoustic research, and advanced computer modeling, all aimed at delivering sound that remains faithful to the original recording.

Throughout the process, Revel committed to engineering refinements across all six Performa4 models, anchored by two newly developed driver materials: Deep Ceramic Composite (DCC) and Micro Ceramic Composite (MCC). These materials are designed to increase stiffness while reducing mass, which helps Performa4 drivers move more precisely without introducing unwanted coloration. In simple terms, they’re built to let you hear more of what’s in the recording and less of the speaker itself.

Supporting those drivers are newly engineered cast aluminum frames, shaped using Finite Element Analysis to improve airflow and reduce resonance. It’s one of those details that doesn’t immediately stand out, but it plays a big role in how cleanly a speaker performs, especially at higher output levels.

Another major piece of the puzzle is Revel’s 7th-generation Acoustic Lens waveguide. Crafted to control how sound disperses in a room, Revel's new design helps the tweeter and midrange driver blend seamlessly while maintaining consistent tonal balance even off-axis. That’s particularly important in real-world rooms where listeners aren’t always sitting dead center.

The lineup itself is comprehensive. At the top sits the F346, a three-way floorstanding speaker built around three 6.5" woofers, a 6.5" midrange, and a 1" tweeter. It’s designed to reach down to 30Hz, giving it the kind of low-end extension that can anchor a full-range system without immediately relying on a subwoofer. Sensitivity is rated at 88dB with a nominal 6-ohm load, making it relatively approachable from an amplification standpoint.

Just below it, the F345 takes a similar approach in a slightly more compact form, using three 5.25" woofers and a matching midrange driver. It trades a bit of low-end extension, reaching down to 36Hz, but maintains much of the same architectural philosophy.

For smaller spaces or more flexible setups, the M146 and M145 bookshelf models bring the same core technologies into two-way designs. The M146 uses a 6.5" woofer and extends down to 43Hz, while the more compact M145 features a 5.25" driver and reaches 54Hz. Both are designed to integrate cleanly into stereo or multi-channel systems, with optional stands available to position them at the correct listening height.

And for Home theater enthusiasts, multi-channel isn't an afterthought. The C245 center channel uses dual 5.25" woofers flanking the same 1" tweeter, creating a tonal match across the front soundstage. That consistency is critical for dialogue clarity and seamless panning effects, especially in larger systems.

Rounding out the series is the B140 subwoofer, which pairs a 10" driver with a 750-watt RMS amplifier, capable of delivering output down to 26Hz. It’s designed to complement the rest of the lineup without overpowering it, maintaining the same focus on controlled, accurate bass.

Visually, the Performa4 Series continues to evolve Revel’s design language. Cabinets feature curved sides, cross-braced construction, and premium wood veneers in Natural Walnut and Black Walnut. Magnetic grilles and polished accents keep the look clean, while the overall form feels more contemporary than previous generations. The speakers look sharp, particularly in Black Walnut.

The Revel Performa4 Series begins shipping in April through authorized dealers, with pricing starting at $1,999 per pair for the M145 bookshelf speakers and extending to $6,999 per pair for the flagship F346 floorstanding model. See full pricing details below.

Oh man... I WISH!!!! I had AXPONA on my radar until my trip to the UK popped up. That trip has given me more than enough work on top of everything else - namely a pile of reviews :-/

I hear you'll be there with some friends!!
