It appears that RBH Sound has changed their sales model. Looks like the majority of their products are now available for direct purchase, except for the Status Acoustic line and a few other items.

Have yet to hear their speakers. Love their EP3 and H2 in-ear phones.

I consider them one of the best speaker manufacturers in the business. No nonsense, good build quality, well engineered. Their subs are way under-rated too.

Not a brand that a I have a lot of experience with, outside of demos at shows.

Wise to go consumer-direct. as long as they can handle the customer service side, it's a no-brainer

RBH has been around awhile, nothing but good has been said about them. Kinda in the background, I am gonna have to keep an eye (ear) out for an audition.

I don't think you'd be disappointed in an audition. I have not heard any of the new Impression or Signature SV series but the older SE, MC and Status Acoustic series were very good to outstanding.

Their room will be top priority at my next audio show.

I'd love an opportunity to hear the RBH-55E. https://rbhsound.com/r55e.php At $1,875 - 2 grand (depending on finish) they'd put me in a good position to spend a little extra on processor/amp or surrounds. From what I've been reading they're well build and sound great at that price point.

Yeah I think they are a bargain for what they are. I haven’t heard them but my friend James Larson measured them for Audioholics and was impressed with their performance.

In fact looking at their response, the only issue I see is a presence bump at 2khz. The fact that it remains so consistent at all angles suggests good behavior and easy to eq out if you don’t like it. They also have very wide and uniform dispersion out to 10khz.

Like Mathew was saying I've heard nothing but great things about these speakers I have a friend on audioholics that used to own orion's salks b&W can't remember what model but the very high end ones and a couple more very very nice speakers and he ended up selling all of them after going with RBH

I'll check with RBH...

Wow, those didn't last long. Be curious to know why/what happened with those.

From RBH to me on Facebook.... Hi Brian, yes we will be coming out with a new model. We do not have a time frame for its release yet. Please stay tuned!

Maybe Todd will find more information.

I thought about buying their R55E back when they were available. I called them up to ask a few questions and their customer service wasn't the best at the time. I am not sure if it is better now. When I called ARX--now Chane--the person I spoke with was excellent. He answered all of my questions and more. So, I ended up buying the Arx speakers, and later on switched to the Chane line.

No, they never replied to my inquiry... sent them several notes.

Interesting write up. The new owner doesn't sound like he has an audio background, which is a tad unusual perhaps? Certainly wish them well!

Makes me think if this is the reason why their more affordable speakers aren’t available anymore. I thought that companies are trying to go with direct sales rather than dealers?
The cost of their new line of speakers are pretty high. I wish them the best as well.

Yeah, Roger retired and sold the company. Kinda curious what Todd's new direction is going to be? Hope he doesn't cave to the big box stores or just jack the prices up.
