Hello gents,

It has been a while since I posted here as I've been busy but I wanted to reach out to everyone. I know this site focuses more on HT and dual purpose rigs, but I wanted to offer up my opinions on any topics regarding dedicated 2 channel systems you guys might be curious about. I've spoken with and worked with Matt on many occasions and realize how much we differ in approaches and also know that his approach is more dominant on this forum.

Controversial topic or not, I'll do my best to offer my own views and how I was led to them in my journey. I realize this puts me at risk of condescension on this forum but hope it will better bridge the gap between different perspectives, but I see benefits for all of us if respect is maintained.

The one rule I have is that we keep it civil and can agree to disagree if it comes to it. I'm not looking to change minds, but offer better understanding of the background and experiences guys like me have.

Cheers,

Skip

@AudioThesis ,

There will be no condescension here, this is the friendliest A/V forum on the web! What do you have for us?

I have a dual-purpose system whose set up leans heavily toward 2 channel listening over anything else. I have a killer 2 channel-only system waiting for a dedicated room, just need to find the right house (currently looking).

All I have is knowledge that I would love to share. Many of these things will transition to home theater as well, but there are more variables there that might decrease the impact they will have. I don't expect any condescension, but I wanted to preface my post at any rate.

Cheers,

Skip

Hey Skip,

Definitely, share your thoughts, contrarian, ordinary, unique... whatever! That’s what we’re all here for. As Dennis said, this is a no flame zone ;-)

Best, Todd

Home theater belongs in the theater room. Quite a few folks have dedicated 2 channel rooms. What is interesting is one may have every automated digital gadget in the theater but stick to the 1960's era components for 2 channel and be perfectly happy!

I have an HT system and I also have a separate music system. However, both are multichannel although both will play 2-channel..............when necessary.
