Was wondering about correct way to handle the LFE channel when ripping the multichannel tracks on these pure bluray audio disks.
If you played the physical disk on a bluray player, it will go through the hardware and LFE channel will be processed with the 10db boost.
So, if you've ripped the tracks off of the disk, it seems you should apply the proper LFE boost somewhere in the chain for playback. Or is there something different about these disks?
Also, if LFE is ov concern, then what about the PCM tracks that most of these disks provide? Are these already 10db LFE corrected?
