I ran MultiEQ Audyssey. Then REW. I calibrated the subwoofers.. This is what I got. Can somebody analyze and tell me what I can do to improve home theater sound? I have SOME acoustic treatment. But can you tell what else should I be working on? Thank you.

That doesn't really look all that bad for bass. There's no super serious decay that extends past the chart, so that's a good start. The upper end is not bad at all... and the lower end really can't be controlled too easily with acoustic treatments. Maybe some seriously large corner traps might get you down below 100Hz. If you have a means of electronic EQ, it possible you could smooth out the response a little, depending on what is handling your bass and what kind of headroom you have.

I have the most basic setup. I have the basic Audyssey MultiEq. I have a Denon S740H. Fronts are Pioneer FS52 Towers . Rears are Pioneer SP BS22LR . Pioneer Sp-T22a-Lr Dolby Atmos Add-On Speakers just for the back. The center is an Infinity RC263 that is reviewed here.

It is in a room that measures 12.5 feet (length) by 29 (width) feet. The ceiling is a bit weird. It slants from 1.5 to 9.5. The speakers are on top of the 2 Dayton Sub1200 upfront. The third sub is close to the MLP. It is a smaller Jamo 10 inch. There is a bit of Auralex treatment on the back wall of the MLP. The speakers are about 3 feet from the front wall. They are about 10 feet apart. Measurement is largely done from the MLP. Audyssey was run first on flat. Then REW tweaked the sub equalization. Subs are aligned and volume matched. Crossover is at 80 for the fronts and center. 90 for the rears. and 150 for the atmos.

The only issue you might have with two different subs is as you vary the volume, the output for each sub will vary, but if you are fairly consistent with your volume within 10dB... and calibrate at that volume, you'll likely be okay.

I would look at your overall response and decay to see if acoustics might help in other areas.

I am thinking of getting SVS subs. Instead of buying 2 more Dayton Sub1200s. I think I did a pretty good job with balancing the output. I ended up inverting polarity on the the rear sub. Here is the decay graph. Please let me know what else you find. Thank you sooo much.

If you get the SVS subs you should be able to dial in the timing fairly easy with REW and acoustical timing sweeps.

You should get better extension in the sub-low frequencies with the SVS subs too.

I'm by no means an expert on the decay, but if I had to guess I'd say it looks good. Maybe someone who really knows will chime in.

How is REW tweaking your sub equalization? Do you have a minidsp or something? Anyways there seem to be some audible ringing between 30-70Hz in your measurements which is very hard to damp with treatment and will take a lot of space in a small room. Assuming you have a digital filtering system for your subs, your best bet is generating minimum phase on impulse graph and checking excess group delay in REW and then down EQ where ever you can. In my experience with Audyssey MultiEQ32, I get the best results after calibrating all subs myself and use Audyssey only for timing and volume level adjustments, by passing Sub EQ completely.
