Panasonic 2018 flagship UB9000 w/HCX video processor & dynamic conversion adjustment

Seem no one knows or ac answer this straightforward question, Panasonic UK, questions on live preenstations or open offers for direct questions,.....

I don’t think the player or a fairy chose the crossover frequencies someone must have decided ?

Shame no one knows what the x over frequency is when choose large or small on the 9000, with analogue out. I asked the question 3 times on the live video , spoke to Panasonic UK, have asked on every forum I can, alas still no answer.

Any news on the MkII ?

Perhaps their might be some information on what settings the speakers to small when using analogue out actually does with the crossover

I'm guessing no one knows the answer, but you could measure the response with REW and see what it is using the file playback sweep.

Very sorry I have not looked at this thread for several months. I'll get the small speaker crossover frequency for the 7.1 analog outputs on the UB9000 and post the answer.

The current DP-UB9000 uses an AKM DAC, but unfortunately due to a fire that destroyed the AKM plant AKM DACs are not longer available so Panasonic is transitioning to ESS' DAC.

The model number will change from DP-UB9000 to DP-UB9000P1K and I'll have a production sample by early June for my testing. If all goes as planned we'll have mass production of the DP-UB9000P1K in the USA by early July.

The question on the speaker crossover for the 7.1 analog output was sent to the engineer in Panasonic HQ, Japan for the answer. It's Golden Week in Japan so the reply will be delay until next week.

Sorry for the delayed reply! Here's the crossover answer.

When the “Small Speakers in the 7.1 analog audio outputs” has been selected
The crossover frequency will be automatically adjusted to the range of 80-120Hz

Any idea how to feed a sweep in the only input is a USB stick it won't connect to the for a 'live' feed so I have been unable to test the 9000

Does anyone know if Panasonic fixed the issue in the MkII where the original DP-UB9000 wouldn't play TrueHD or Atmos audio tracks from videos streamed from a NAS?
Thx. :)

Memory tells me that Panasonic purposely restricted lossless audio on movies via NAS. @Robert Zohn will know...

Correct Todd! Panasonic's legal department will not allow any of their devices to play advanced audio formats from ripped Blu-ray disc NAS files that do not have the HDCP copy-write protection flag in the ripped content.
