When I run A1E I get:

--- Starting Full, Automated Workflow ---

[Step 2/4] Measuring System...

'Single' microphone position measurement sequence

IMPORTANT:
• Ensure the calibration microphone jack is securely plugged into the front panel of your receiver.
• Place the microphone at your primary listening position (ideally should be centered between between the left and right front speakers).
• Microphone tip should be at seated ear height and pointing straight up at the ceiling.

How many times do you want each speaker measurement repeated?
(Measurement averaging improves signal-to-noise ratio by √(number of repetitions) in dB terms, elimination will be more aggressive but Express session will take proportionally longer)

• Fastest: 1 -> To confirm your setup is working correctly before committing to multiple sweeps.
• Fast: 2-3 -> Very quiet rooms
• Recommended: 4-6 -> Good balance of speed and accuracy
• Slow & Safe: 7-9 -> Noisy environments
• Slowest: 10-99 -> Severe OCD

>> Evo Express analyzes measurement data in real time, automatically corrects for clock drifts and discards noisy / unreliable measurements. A detailed report is presented when all measurements are completed for each channel.

✔ Enter the required number of measurement repeats per speaker/sub (1-99): · 1

Ensuring AVR is powered on and responsive...
-> AVR is responsive on Telnet port.

-> AVR state reset. Waiting for it to settle...
-> Calibration microphone plugged in - passed.
-> No headphones connected - passed.
AVR has 'fixedA' data type. Re-ordering channels based on the required AVR sequence.

Starting sweeps immediately (numRepeats = 1).

Anyone have any ideas?

On the AVR side, shortly before it shows TIMEOUT/ERROR that you see above, the entire AVR crashes. In other words, I plug in the mic, it passes the " -> Calibration microphone plugged in - passed." stage, then the screen clears and it goes into an Audyssey like calibration screen, and then it hard-hangs. No moving back and forth with arrows/cursor control will move anything, exit out of the setup mode, or do anything else - with mic plugged in or not at that point. The only thing I can do on the remote is power it off. Powering it on again, I tried this again; exact same thing.

Note that it didn't find my AVR automatically - I had to key in IP:

A1 Evo Express

Next-gen sound calibration for 'everyone' by OCA

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

Before you begin:

1. Install REW: Ensure a recent **beta** build of 'Room EQ Wizard' is installed
Download link: (url removed)
2. AVR Set Up: Verify 'Speaker config.' and 'AmpAssign' match your active channels
3. Check Speakers: Ensure correct speaker wiring, polarity, tilt and positioning
4. Prepare Subwoofer(s): Turn off any internal processing, set power to 'On' (not 'Auto'), LPF dial all the way up
5. Prepare Room: Minimize room noise (AC, fans), close all doors and windows
6. Connect Mic: Plug AVR calibration microphone into the receiver's front panel

✔ >>> Press [Enter] when ready to start... ·

[Step 1/...] Discovering your receiver in the network and reading system configuration...
Searching for AV receivers via UPnP (Timeout: 5s)...
-> Found: Denon Denon AVR-S760H at 192.168.1.64
Found 1x distinct device description(s).
Filtered down to 2 potential AVR description(s).
Found 2 unique IP address(es) associated with potential AVRs.
Multiple potential devices found. Please select your AVR from the list.
✔ Found 2 potential AV receiver(s). Select target device: · Denon Upstairs - Denon (Aios 5.0V) [192.168.1.64]

UPnP discovery did not automatically identify a target AVR.
This can happen if the AVR is busy (e.g., active HDMI link with a TV) or due to limited network availability (e.g., Firewall or VPN).
✔ Please enter your AV Receiver IP address manually: · 192.168.1.64
Using manually provided IP: 192.168.1.64

Attempting to verify/find model name via /goform/ endpoint on 192.168.1.64...

Could not get a valid model name from /goform/ endpoint.
Could not automatically determine a valid AVR Model Name for 192.168.1.64.
✔ Please enter the correct AVR Model Name (e.g., SR6011, X3800H): · S760H
Model name: "S760H" (Source: Manual Entry (User Provided))
Establishing connection to AVR...
√ Connection successful.
AVR reported active channels: FL, C, FR, SLA, SRA, SW1
AVR reported 'Amp Assign' mode: Zone2
Please make sure that ALL options under the receiver's 'Amp Assign' & 'Speaker Config.' menu match your current set up.
These settings will be treated as FINAL and will be used during the measurement, optimization, and calibration transfer steps!

✔ Have you reviewed and confirmed that all of these settings are correct in the AVR menu? · yes

√ Amp Assign setting confirmed.
√ Discovered AVR and its configuration successfully.
