Always liked listening to music, any genre (except country; country rock is fine I guess
), just sorta getting into the hobby now. Have prior experience with electronics as an avionics radar tech, but still pretty green. Have a small vinyl collection and an old Pioneer receiver I got from a pawn shop, it does the job. My AT turntable is driven by some Schiit called Mani, I think.
Earlier this year I built a CSS 1TD-X kit (with base xo), and just this week I put together a simple impedance test jig and got it working yesterday (after fumbling a bit with my PC's audio controller settings and then connecting the test probe to the other input instead of ground for the short test
). Of course, only after I gave in and ordered an interface.
Plan is to build another pair of speakers soon, this time from scratch, but finances have kinda slowed that project. I have a bunch of wood cut and ready, just need to finalize the dimensions and settle on the drivers.
