Hello,
I'm Myashi from Italy.
I'm not an audiophile, I'm just a guy on the net, who like listening music from 60's to mid 90's, watching movies tv/series and playing videogames.
All of this hobbies have in common one thing: the sound. As a person who appreciates, listening things with a good headset (Bayerdynamic DT 700 Pro) connected to a Fiio EK10,
I'm always searching for good apps, to enhance the sound. Today I was "trying" to give a shot at Equalizer APO, that seems to require REW. I never heard any of it before today.
Following a guide for EQ APO, I was trying to make REW works. But I'm getting from hours all kind of error pop-ups.
I didn't mean to join the forum to bother ya'll with my newbie help request, but I can't think to anything else, since the written guides of REW, makes no sense to me.
I'm going to write a thread in the support section. Sorry :(

This post should help:

P.S. welcome to the Forum!

Regards,
Wayne

Welcome to AV NIRVANA... glad to have you with us.

Lotsa help in the REW Support thread, but Wayne has pointed you in the right direction.

Welcome to the forum!

For my headphones I didn't use REW. I just looked up the EQ settings recommended for my headphones here:

AutoEq/INDEX.md at master · jaakkopasanen/AutoEq · GitHub

I then loaded those into Equalizer APO.

I didn't see your headphone listed in that index though. There are many other Beyerdynamic headphones there, but not yours. Good headphones don't need much correction and you could just adjust the EQ manually to your preference.

For custom or highly accurate EQ settings a specialized test fixture is needed. See this link for background info on testing headphones.

MiniDSP has a low cost test fixture I believe.
