I just finished up building identical PCs for both my son and myself. Here’s my parts list:

  • Corsair H780t case
  • Corsair Platinum Certified 750W power supply
  • ASRock z270 Killer motherboard
  • Intel i7-7700K Kaby Lake 4.2 GHz processor
  • 16GB Mushkin DDR4-2400 RAM
  • Samsung 960 EVO NVMe M.2 SSD
  • ASUS Dual GeForce GTX1060
Both built and loaded with Windows 10. Now we have to wait until Christmas.

Nice rigs... too bag you're stuck with Windows. :wits:

My old rig was a dual boot Win10 + Hackintosh. Can’t recall what version of MacOS is running on it as I haven’t booted to it in a very long time.

Looks like a solid build. What games do you play?

Well here's the rub... I haven't played anything in quite some time. But I used to play a lot of World of Tanks, Company of Heroes and Starcraft. I look forward to running some of these on the new rig.

They should play nice on it. If you don't have a steam account yet you should make one. They should be starting their winter Christmas sale soon and you could pick up a lot of games for cheap.

Yeah I've had a Steam account since it's inception. One of my favorite games of all time was Half Life and all of the subsequent spawn (CounterStrike, Team Fortress, Day of Defeat, etc).

Planning on finishing my build today and booting it for the first time.

Played (and already own) World in Conflict and I wasn't that impressed with it. I'll check out the Assassin's Creed though.
