(September 24, 2021) Naim Audio, sister brand to Focal, has announced the arrival of TIDAL Connect functionality for its family of music streaming players and systems. TIDAL Connect allows owners to explore all the rich features of TIDAL's app while streaming high-quality audio content to eligible Naim gear.
This new feature is made possible through a firmware update (Firmware 3.7) released yesterday. It's currently available to owners of Uniti Atom, Uniti Atom Headphone Edition, Uniti Star, and Uniti Nova music-streaming systems, along with ND5 XS2, NDX 2, and ND 555 dedicated streaming players. The update can be installed using the Naim app, which retains streaming control capabilities. Naim says a matching update will be issued for the Mu-so 2nd Generation family of wireless speakers at a later date.
“It’s great to offer Naim owners yet more music options via this free upgrade, with even more functionality to come from our scalable streaming platform”, said Paul Neville, Naim’s Research & Development Director.
TIDAL Connect functionality is available to TIDAL subscribers; a 90-day free trial is available for new users when they buy any member of the Naim streaming family.
