Music subscription services

Anyone use a music subscription service? I've had Tidal HiFi for almost a year now and really enjoy the service. They offer the highest bit rate of any service that I know of, and even offer lossless master audio recordings. It's worth checking out at least for a month if anything. I think most people use Spotify though.

I use TIDAL HiFi, too. I generally like it, but find that I mostly use it in my car where the overall fidelity is somewhat a loss (and not so fun when I drive though a dead zone)...I also use it to stream directly to an OPPO Sonica at my desk. My kids use Spotify and seem to enjoy it...and I believe my wife subscribes to Apple Music.

We're a family that's all over the map!

I have the family on Spotify, not for quality but because they don't care about the quality and it is a reasonable deal for all of us. Frankly, I don't see much difference between it and Pandora or Slacker and like Slacker best for a free service. For higher quality, Tidal would be my choice.

I use Sirius XM as it is usable on my cellphone, Tv's, AVR's, pc's, Dish Hopper & Joey's all for one simple monthly payment of around $17 for online streaming. Its like having a whole home audio system without the actual cost of installing a whole home audio system.

I've use the following: Tidal, Spotify, Pandora, Amazon Music and Deezer. I've used their highest quality available.

Tidal sounds good, but at $20 dollars a month it isn't worth it since no one else in my family noticed a sound difference.

Spotify sounds almost as good as Tidal, and they have a larger music library. At $9.99 a month it's a good deal.

Pandora Premium sound just as good as Spotify in my personal opinion. Their new Pandora app as pretty much the same features as Spotify. The music library is pretty good as well. At $12.99 it isn't a bad deal, but Spotify would be better at $9.99.

Amazon Music sounds okay. I only use it since it was included under Amazon Prime. Music library is not bad and keeps getting better.

Deezer at $9.99 isn't a bad option, but Spotify is better. Their music library isn't as large as the above music providers. Sounds just as good as Spotify.

If you own a media streamer such as Sonos, BlueSound or Denon HEOS, I would recommend to use Spotify or Tidal. BlueSound unfortunately doesn't support Pandora or Amazon music.

I wouldn't disagree that TIDAL's $20 a month Premium is a questionable fee to pay. Under most circumstances, I'm not sure if I can hear a definitive difference (car, earphones, etc).

I think if you have a higher end HiFi system, you could benefit with the higher Tidal subscription, but for my current systems, I think only Tidal would benefit from me paying $20 a month lol.
