(November 5, 2021) On the heels of launching its room shaking and skull-crushing 16" THX Ultra Certified Subwoofer, Monolith has pulled back the curtain to reveal three new ported subs. Ranging in price from $549 to $1,399, these new V2 series models come in 10-, 12-, and 15-inch sizes.

Headlining the gang is the Monolith M-15 V2 15in THX Certified Ultra Subwoofer ($1,599). Possessing 1000 Watts of power RMS (1800 peak) and a newly designed 15-inch driver, the M-15 V2 can command low-end duties in a room as large as 3,000 cubic feet. The Class D amp module carries a Texas Instruments 48-bit DSP engine customized to monitor transfer function, power output limiting, and thermal protection, allowing the driver to operate flawlessly in the most demanding situations.

The M-15 V2 can play down to 14Hz with two ports open while operating in an Extended EQ mode. A THX EQ mode raises performance depths slightly, with three ports open delivering down to 20Hz. That's hefty output for a hefty sub, tipping the scales at nearly 133-pounds (measuring 28.7" x 17.7" x 26.8").

The M-12 V2 ($849), which weighs slightly under 100-pounds, carries a 12" driver backed by 500 Watts (RMS) of power. When run with both ports open in Extended EQ mode, the M-12 V2 can dive down to 17Hz. That level of output rises to 20Hz with all ports sealed with a THX EQ mode engaged. The single-ported M-10 V2 ($549) uses 500 Watts of power and a 10" driver to land at similar specs. However, room size matters as the M-12 V2 is designed for rooms up to 3,000 cubic feet and the M-10 V2 is best for rooms up to 2,000 cubic feet.

All three subs feature High-Density Fiberboard (HDF) cabinets and strategically placed internal bracing for inert, resonance-free performance. They also carry an 88.5mm port design with inner and outer flares for reduced levels of turbulence and asymmetrical distortion. All three ship with port plugs, and can be run with one or more ports sealed

Are these in addition to or replacements for the already excellently reviewed and measured Monolith subs?

Also, Monoprice has a sale on subs going on now:

These are the latest models, just announced... I'd assume they are replacing similar sizes in their lineup.
