I'm looking to reduce road/wind noise in my car primarily, but also would like to improve my audio setup.
When looking at REW and MiniDSP's website, it looks like there are a couple different types of mics I could use.
with the UMIK-1 or UMIK-2 being omni-directional, are these ideal for both uses? I see them referenced online for tuning the audio system, but would they be fine for general noise reduction?
It seems like they would be fine (or even ideal) but I'm just getting started with this and don't want to get the wrong mic! I see there are mic arrays as well, so it's a little confusing.
I am reading through the Automotive Tuning guide on MiniDSP's website, and they mention both omni-directional and mic arrays being applicable
