Home Made From Speakerlab K-Horn plans
I have a pair of Speakerlab K-Horn speakers that I built nearly 30 years ago, but was never able to find the mid-range horns at the time. I recently purchased JBL D250X drivers and a Nippon Electric NTX1407 horn lens. Since the cabinet resides in a corner, measuring the bass response with REW has been problematical. (Finding a suitable crossover has also been problematical.) Anyway, the standard 1 meter distance measurement technique doesn't give a very good representation of the bass response. Is there a 'standard' for measuring corner horn base enclosures using REW?

Even at 1 Metre the room will overwhelm any chance of measuring the speaker. You would need to do it outdoors. Or find the optimum measuring spot. Pink Noise and the Spectrum will deliver this quickly. Just move the mic around looking for best response in real time on screen.
