(May 10, 2025) Audiophiles are on the cusp of gaining access to an intriguing new platform as Pure Audio Streaming, the first high-resolution immersive streaming service of its kind, prepares for its official public debut. Designed to deliver uncompromised lossless audio—including immersive formats like AURO-3D, PCM 5.1 surround, binaural, and stereo—Pure Audio aims to revolutionize the way we experience music at home and on the go.

The platform builds on the legacy of the Pure Audio Blu-ray format by offering full-resolution, uncompressed music streamed directly to compatible hardware. Available in up to 7.1.4-channel PCM at 96 kHz for immersive content, and 192 kHz PCM for stereo and binaural formats, Pure Audio promises a playback experience that stays true to the artist’s intent. Unlike lossy implementations of spatial audio from other services, Pure Audio delivers its immersive tracks in full fidelity—no compromise, no signal degradation.

Current access methods for Pure Audio Streaming include playback via NVIDIA SHIELD TV Pro or Fire Stick 4K (2023) connected over HDMI to an AVR, as well as newer Mac or Windows computers using the Chrome browser with HDMI output. Support for AC Connect-enabled devices is also in development. Offline listening is available on mobile through the Artist Connection app, and the platform supports downloads for on-the-go mobile access, though downloads are restricted from desktop and Android TV devices.

Now, Pure Audio’s ambitions are gaining even more traction with the announcement of native support from Lyngdorf. As part of a forthcoming free firmware update, Lyngdorf's MP-40, MP-50, and MP-60 HDMI 2.1 multichannel processors, as well as for Steinway & Sons systems based on the P100, P200, and P300 multichannel processors, will implement Pure Audio Streaming integration directly in menu systems. This allows users to link their Pure Audio accounts and access immersive music files directly through the processor interface.

That, audio fans, is a first.

Exact timing of the launch has yet to be relayed, with Lyngdorf only indicating that it's "coming soon."

Pure Audio will have a major presence at this week's High End Munich show (May 15–18), including a private press event and a live demonstration space. If you aren't lucky enough to attend the show, don't despair –the company is hosting an exclusive early adopter program for consumers, offering a limited number of users the opportunity to preview the platform ahead of its official launch on July 25th.

Participants in the early access program will receive a free NVIDIA SHIELD Pro (or a discount if they already own one), a full year of service, and a chance to help shape platform development through direct feedback. The application process closes on May 18, so you only have a few days to enter. Click here to find out more.

With over 300 high-resolution recordings—many of them award-winning and sourced from studios like 2L’s LUX—already available, Pure Audio Streaming isn’t just a concept; it’s a working platform backed by deep technical infrastructure. The company uses StreamSoft’s Artist Connection for content delivery, enabling high-res audio and 4K video playback alongside an e-commerce backend for monetization.

Whether you’re a classical connoisseur or a high-res rock fan, Pure Audio says it has something for you with more on the way. Stay tuned for more information on the official July launch.
