Looking for advice and opinion based on use/experience in regard to in-ceiling speakers for whole home audio.
Looking to start out by installing 6-7 on my second floor, the easiest to install being the attack/crawl space above. Would like them to be a standard install size so a simple hole saw can be used. Also they should be safe to install with insulation on/around them. Prefer to stick to the standard 6 1/2" cutout size.

Hang on for the new offerings by KLH to launch... I think that's happening in Sept/October. They might be the ticket for you. I *think* I have some in celings coming for review.

A bit late to respond, but I've been very happy with Episode ceiling speakers that were done by a pro installer in new home. I was just looking for background music use but these turned out to be very nice sounding speakers. I am driving each pair in 4 zones with individual Yamaha WXA-50 (55 watts into 8) amps via MusicCast so they are getting good power. They include a lifetime warranty as well, even for outside use.
