(December 26, 2017) Last month, Klipsch unveiled four new on-wall models as part of its Reference Premier Designer series, now the company has officially announced the availability of two new Reference speakers one company representative nicknamed “fire-breathing monsters.” The all new RF-7 III floorstander and RC-64 III center channel are due to be on display during CES 2018 (Booth 13529, Central Hall).

Both new Reference speakers carry Klipsch’s latest tech advancements for what the company says is “ultra-sensitive, hard-hitting, accurate sound.”

The RF-7 III is a beast of a speaker, standing some four-feet tall and weighing nearly 100-pounds. It features an all-new 1-3/4” titanium compression driver with an enhanced phase plug geometry design that improves linearity at high frequencies. That driver is paired with a new Tractrix horn with a circular throat and square mouth, designed to reduce harshness and improve detail. And two 10” Cerametallic woofers are aligned with a dual chambered ported enclosure that allows the drivers to work independently of each other.

The RC-64 III carries the same tweeter/Tractrix horn design in addition to four 6.5” woofers linked to a 2-1/2-way network crossover. The speaker’s cabinet is nearly three-feet wide and weighs 55-pounds.

Both speakers feature cabinets made with furniture-grade wood veneers (black ash, cherry, or walnut). They also have magnetic grilles and a back-side plaque signed by a factory assembler.

The RF-7 III ($1,799 each) and RC-64 III ($1,499) are available now at select retailers or direct through Klipsch.com.

These look like a nice addition to their current lineup. I hope to hear more about how they sound once available.

Nice. Thanks for the update. :)

Those look eerily familiar and I’m going to guess they sound pretty sweet.
