(June 25, 2019) Laced with affordability and performance, Klipsch has officially unleashed its newly designed T5 Series of earphones. Each lightweight model is crafted to meet Klipsch’s "True Comfort" principles for extreme levels of accuracy and comfort. This is achieved using a “combination of the brand’s patented oval ear tips, small nozzle, patented housing designs, and approach angles so they accurately sit inside the ear canal.”
The T5 Series has four different models, all of which are sweat/water-resistant and ship with multiple sizes of ear tips. It’s headlined by the digital assistant ready T5 True Wireless Earphones ($199) which delivers eight strong hours of battery performance that’s boosted by an additional 24 hours using the earphones' brushed-metal dual-purpose charging case. Voice enhancements include Clear Voice Chat technology for crystal clear calls with controlled ambient noise and “Bluetooth 5” tech for increased range, while comfort is boosted by snap-fit oval ear tips.
The T5 Neckband Earphones ($119) also carries Bluetooth 5 performance while delivering 15 hours of battery life. The inclusion of two cVc microphones makes for excellent voice performance, while a premium hand-stitched leather band (brown or black) and attractive aluminum controls add a touch of class.
Both the T5 Sport and T5M Wired Earphones reside under a $100 price point ($99 and $59, respectively). Like the True Wireless and Neckband models, the T5 Sport is a wireless performer with Bluetooth 5. Its 10-hour battery life and IPX4 sweat, water, and rain resistance rating make the Sport perfect for the user on the go. Comfort and performance are enhanced by flexible ear wings, oval ear tips, and a lightweight feel, allowing the Sport to be used for a wide range of athletic endeavors.
While the T5M Wired earphones lose the convenience of wireless performance, its diminutive price tag brings Klipsch quality to buyers looking to spend less. According to Klipsch, the voice-ready Wired earphones will work with any device on the market.
Both the Sport and Wired models are available for purchase now (the True Wireless and Neckband can be pre-ordered at Klipsch.com with shipping expected to begin in July). All three wireless earphones will receive a performance boost this summer when Klipsch releases a free “Connect app.” The Connect app will allow owners to monitor battery levels, adjust EQ settings, install firmware updates, and more.
