hello there, this morning I went to play something, and noticed that this sub was off, changed the fuse, nothing, opened it up, 1 more fuse gone inside, changed that, and all seemed fine, but after a minute of so, it went off again, fuse gone inside and out, than I noticed something, not sure what to call them, I think transformers? Probably wrong, 1 of them looked like had some rust on top, maybe something leaked, have a look at the pics, and please tell me it can be repaired, it also looks a bit swollen, thank you for your time

That is a capacitor, and you should be able to find one at Mouser or Digikey.

I would try to get up with Ken first and see if he can replace it for you.

Yup, Sonnie is right. That's a cap. Do you have soldering equipment? It's easy to replace... but you'll want to either (1) practice desoldering and soldering on a spare/junk PCB board, or find someone that knows what their doing.

Danger is lifting a trace on the PCB. That said, you should be able to get that fixed, and if you do it yourself it should be extremely inexpensive!

Thank you Todd I've contacted a friend who is a reseller of hifi speakers and amps, he's going to let me know how much is to repair, and also looking for another sub just in case

I've also emailed Claridy, they make the internal monoblocks and plate amp, it will cost 375 dollars plush shipping, but as I live in Europe, shipping, inport duty and taxes, it will almost double that price, now looking for a sub here in Europe, that won't break the bank

Yes they have, the price of the small sb1000pro here costs 810 dollars, you could buy 2 there
